The Marketing Intern will gain real world experience while learning how a marketing department functions day to day. They will assist in promoting the corporate brand through the many channels of marketing while learning useful skills and participating in a collaborative atmosphere. The position will also allow them to put into practice what they have learned through their schooling and prepare them for future business endeavors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Promote the brand through our corporate and channel’s marketing efforts
Create content for marketing materials including print, digital and social media
Assist in creating marketing strategies and promotions
Provide support with various ad-hoc projects as assigned by the marketing team
Work with the marketing team and other departments to ensure efforts are cohesive
Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas and concepts
Communicate with vendors, partners, and agencies when working on marketing projects
Provide updates on tasks, meetings, and projects
Attend product photo shoots as needed
Assist with administrative tasks as needed
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Education requirements:
Currently Sophomore standing or higher pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or related field
Knowledge of various marketing principles and industry trends
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus
Familiarity with marketing software and online programs (e.g. CRM tools, Online analytics and Google Adwords)
