DescriptionThe Philadelphia office of Cozen O’Connor is seeking a creative, service-oriented Marketing Events Specialist with excellent critical thinking skills and meticulous attention to detail to support the firm’s marketing initiatives. This position will report to the Director, Marketing Events and will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing numerous internal and external client-facing events. These events will include but are not limited to social events, educational seminars, conferences, local and national retreats, trade shows, and attorney speaking engagements.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of program management, including event concept, site inspections, venue selection and coordination, contract negotiations, materials preparation, on-site management, and post-event analysis.
- Assist with the purchase, design, distribution, and inventory of promotional products.
- Act as liaison between the events team and internal departments, attorneys, and vendors to coordinate, track tasks, and maintain deadlines for the firm.
- Oversee on-site support (registration, nametags, A/V, F&B, handouts, and giveaways) with other marketing and venue personnel.
- Execute research for local and national venue and catering options.
- Collaborate with the design team to assist with event invitations, promotional product designs, and marketing signage.
- Track and process invoices from vendors, ensuring accuracy.
- Manage and execute additional special projects that may arise.
- Develop event strategies based on current trends in the event planning industry that will improve event execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree is required. A degree in hospitality, tourism, or marketing is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in events, hotel management, or the professional service industry.
- Travel is required.
- Understanding and managing event budgets effectively.
- Customer service-oriented professional.
- Solution-oriented team player.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and works effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working with all levels of management and staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Ability to work within a complex and multifaceted business environment.
The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 and represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications and location.
