Role Summary:

The position reports to the Director of Marketing & Applications Engineering. This individual serves a cross-functional role requiring a blend of technical and commercial skills to support both strategic and tactical initiatives. This diverse skill set is necessary to collaborate with and support the commercial team serving both customers and Beck sales engineers. The position serves as the liaison between the commercial and engineering sides of the business, helping to align product capabilities with market needs. This role requires thoughtful strategic approaches to the management of products, features, customer support/service, and marketing initiatives all with respect to the voice of customer (VOC). The position requires an engineering background (BSChE, BSME or BSEE) as well as commercial business experience in sales, customer service, and marketing.


Primary Responsibilities:

1. Marketing Communications & Demand Generation

  • Lead development of marketing communications across:
  •  - Website and digital content
  •  - GEO/SEO
  •  - Technical brochures and sales literature 
  •  - Application notes, case studies, and white papers
  •  - Trade shows, conferences, and industry events
  • Manage external resources (agencies, designers, web developers) as required
  • Ensure consistent branding, tone, and technical accuracy across all customer-facing materials
  • Support lead generation and qualification efforts aligned with sales priorities and target accounts
  • Define and manage product positioning, messaging, and branding strategies.
  • Commercial Support & Sales Enablement
  • Equip the sales team with tools, training, and collateral to effectively communicate the company’s value proposition
  • Support key customer engagements, RFQs, and strategic pursuits with tailored messaging and application content
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and Application Engineering to capture and integrate Voice-of-Customer (VOC) insights
  • Assist in channel marketing initiatives, including messaging alignment and training materials
  • Contribute to alignment between market needs, customer feedback, and commercial strategy
  • Market Development and Industry Engagement
  • Support development and strengthening of relationships with OEMs, channel partners, and key industry stakeholders
  • Assist in early engagement on targeted projects and emerging market opportunities
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer engagements
  • Coordinate and support customer visits and factory tours to reinforce Beck’s capabilities and brand 

2. Product Management

  • Participate in Blueprinting activities as appropriate
  • Provide structured market input to Product Management and Engineering teams 
Requirements

  Professional and Personal Requirements:

  • Resilience and adaptability remaining composed under pressure and adjusting strategies and tactics in response to market shifts.
  • Experience in structured VOC processes and development of product roadmaps.
  • Knowledge of industrial markets, customers, and channel partners. 
  • Experience developing and managing budgeting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills.
  • 15+ years of experience in technical and commercial roles.
  • Strong electro-mechanical aptitude with a background in industrial process control.
  • Logical thinker with an analytical approach to technical and commercial problem solving.
  • Knowledge of, and field experience in, a variety of heavy industrial and municipal plant environments.
  • Strong analytical capability and experience in structured problem-solving. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience utilizing Lean methodologies, especially in transactional processes.
  • The ability to productively collaborate with people who have disparate personalities, perspectives and objectives and promote consensus.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical and/or electrical engineering with an advanced business degree (MBA) preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods. 
  • Ability to travel, as necessary.
  • Ability to physically navigate challenging industrial facility environments.

Work Environment:

  • Office environment with regular exposure to manufacturing areas 
  • The position requires 40 hours/5 days per week 
  • This position is based at the Newtown facility, with flexibility to support remote work as needed for travel, customer engagement, and industry activities
  • The role requires up to 25% travel to support customer visits, trade shows, and market development initiatives
