A Brief Overview
The Manager, Marketing Program Management is responsible for the oversight of Marketing programs and projects and their resulting deliverables, managing high-level timelines and the needs, interests, and expectations, of internal clients. This job entails the following:
• Guide the team through the planning, design, and execution of programs and projects for the Marketing Department.
• Lead and document continuous improvement efforts across the team and engage/influence the Marketing department team members in driving efficiencies.
• Lead the coordination of internal resources and external vendors across programs and projects to meet Marketing's goals and objectives. Identify, manage and communicate risks at a department level to drive critical trade-off decisions.
• Engage and collaborate directly with all clients to understand needs, solicit requirements, and ensure output is delivered within the defined scope, schedule, and budget.
• Represent Marketing in joint efforts with other departments (e.g. Communications, Patient Experience, etc.) to create unified plans and outcomes.
• Lead the definition and execution of standard management reports and dashboards (e.g., budget, resources, etc.) for line of sight to programs and projects as well as key metrics of performance.
• Lead and execute the forecasting of new programs and projects including new and recurring priorities for the Marketing department to drive efficiencies in predictable and repeatable projects.
• Develop, execute and communicate methodologies for tracking and reporting progress and for performance of projects and programs to be used for continuous improvement efforts.

What you will do

  • 1. Program Management (50%)

  • Lead, coach, and mentor team members for continuous improvement across Marketing programs and projects to drive consistency and efficiency and model best practices

  • Apply a strategic, consistent and principled approach to align projects with Marketing priorities to ensure resources are appropriately allocated.

  • Ensure that the appropriate projects and programs are created and managed in alignment with overall Marketing priorities.

  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to build positive relationships, understand their needs & interests, and communicate effectively.

  • Develop programs and projects and support execution of the creative process, which may range from creative asset production process to bespoke creative assets.

  • Lead the incorporation of learnings into standard work processes to fully realize improvement opportunities.

  • 2. Project Management (30%)

  • Individually support and manage marketing initiatives.

  • Drive project forward and be accountable for end-to-end completion of defined projects and oversight of projects.

  • Communicate project status to the internal team, clients, and vendors to ensure transparency, alignment, and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Oversee the review and approval process to guarantee that all stakeholders stay informed and engaged in the decision-making processes, ultimately resulting in timely and precise approvals for project milestones.

  • Meet with clients to ascertain scope of work and clarify specific requirements of each project to ensure alignment between client expectations and project deliverables.

  • Track project/campaign performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared and agreed upon with clients as well as Marketing stakeholders.

  • 3. Budget & ROI Management (10%)

  • Meet budgetary objectives, communicate, and make adjustments to projects based on constraints.

  • Develop detailed business plans for new programs including goals, actions, timelines, metrics and measurements for tracking, investment requirements, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • 4. Supervision (10%)

  • Provide effective guidance and coaching in a motivating, educational and positive manner to support their performance and development.


Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or university.

  • Advanced Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, preferred.
    Project Management Professional (PMP) ® strongly preferred.

Experience Qualifications

  • • 2+ years management or supervisory experience
    • Minimum (8) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
    • Relevant work experience in marketing, advertising, creative, e-commerce or related field.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple detail-oriented projects simultaneously.
    • Demonstrated expertise managing a range of creative processes – from bespoke campaigns to high-volume turn-key collateral - from intake through discovery to production and delivery, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency while maintaining quality.
    • Demonstrated experience in achieving goals on time, with attention to detail and the resourcefulness to proactively identify and resolve potential problems, including communicating changed priorities to impacted stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration and negotiation skills.
    • Strong communication skills; written, verbal and presentation.
    • Experience in brand management is a plus.
    • Familiarity with project management software (preferably Workfront and Smartsheet).
    • Experience with process improvement and resource allocation.
    • Advanced time management and analytical skills.
    • Demonstrated experience in program and project management in a marketing, creative or agency environment.

  • Ability to understand and contribute to complex marketing initiatives and to manage multiple content projects on short deadlines.

  • Strong relationship-management skills with both internal Marketing colleagues and external stakeholders and vendors; ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to motivate and drive collaboration with other departments and stakeholders without direct authority over those groups.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to quickly prioritize and comprehend through a framework to organize multiple parallel projects and priorities.

  • Experience with project management tools and building programs and project plans and frameworks for others to utilize.

  • Overall program management capability with multiple team members and deliverables.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $70.52 - $93.43 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
