Location: Philadelphia, PA

Hybrid schedule: In-office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; remote work on Wednesday and Friday. Please note: this schedule is subject to change based on events and activities. 

Hours: 40 hours/week

Reports To: Matt Kampschnieder, Portfolio Manager – Herbicides, Insecticides, and Fungicides

Overview:

The US Legacy Brand Specialist role is part of the integrated US marketing team and is responsible for leading the regional strategic planning and in-season management processes for a group of assigned products. This role assists in market analysis, competitive tracking, pricing execution, marketing support, and lifecycle initiatives that extend value for long-standing brands in highly competitive markets. This is an excellent role for early‑career professionals who want to grow into full brand ownership and portfolio strategy roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain demand through targeted promotion, channel optimization, and customer retention tactics.
  • Prioritize investments and campaigns based on ROI and risk.
  • Support geographic expansion for still-viable brands, understanding the short-term strategy and supporting the US organization with the leadership and coordination necessary to execute.
  • Update and maintain marketing tools necessary for the Commercial Sales organization to use in the implementation of annual sales territory management plans, i.e. product pricing & commercial programs, stewardship, brand promotions, and product forecasting.
  • Ensure demand stabilization of key products after generic entry.
  • Provide sales team with messaging for segments with loyalty to key brands with a focus on defensible subsegents.
  • Support marketing and sales implementation, contributing as a member of the team in accomplishing sales, margin, EBIT and risk management objectives for assigned products.
  • Provide Portfolio Marketing Manager with marketing support to evaluate and recommend new business opportunities such as co-marketing opportunities & geographic expansion, etc.
  • Provide Sales and Finance functions with direction and guidance on administration of all marketing programs and incentives for assigned products, ensuring adequate review process prior to implementation as well as in-season performance assessment.
  • Provide oversight for product label changes or reformulations.
  • Accountable for product stewardship.
     

Required Education:

BS Agriculture, Business, Marketing or related field

Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have some mix of the following qualifications

  • Experience in brand development and marketing.
  • Marketing or sales experience in the US crop protection market.
  • Experience in account management, sales, or sales management.
  • Working knowledge of marketing processes, including brand pricing strategies, demand forecasting, and brand life cycle management.
  • Ability to work across business functions to drive portfolio decisions and gain organizational alignment on plan execution.
  • Basic understanding of databases (customer and market research) with emphasis in the management and utilization of data to drive informed marketing decisions.
  • Ability to think and work in integrated teams including discovery and development, global planning, resourcing, manufacturing and marketing with demonstrated ability to determine future trends and market opportunities.
  • Financial/analytical skills, which include, NPV analysis, break-even analysis, and in-season competitive response evaluations.
