As our Lead Product Marketing Manager, you'll be at the forefront of shaping and executing our product marketing and product led growth strategy. Leveraging your experience and knowledge, you'll play a crucial role in positioning SchoolStatus and Smore products effectively, driving demand, and articulating the value proposition of our solutions to our target audience. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll lead initiatives to ensure our products resonate with customers and drive growth throughout the product life cycle.

The impact you'll have:

  • Develop and refine compelling product positioning and messaging that effectively addresses customer pain points and aligns with market trends, serving as a subject matter expert in the field.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with sales, content, revenue, and brand marketing teams to develop and test product messaging and marketing content across various channels and campaigns, providing guidance and expertise to team members.
  • Drive the creation of high-impact marketing collateral, including product demos, webinars, whitepapers, competitor comparisons, infographics, event presentations, videos, case studies, and in-product tooltips, managing and executing complex projects and initiatives.
  • Utilize a deep understanding of customer and user journeys to tailor key messages to target audiences at each stage of the buying cycle, balancing input from various stakeholders to make informed strategic decisions.
  • Spearhead the development of impactful cross-functional programs with product, demand generation, and enablement teams to support go-to-market initiatives effectively, actively sharing knowledge and best practices with the team.
  • Provide strategic support for product launches, go-to-market strategies, and initiatives related to customer education and adoption, applying critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to complex challenges.
  • Provide strategic support for Smore’s Product-Led Growth (PLG) strategy, leveraging in-product experiences, free-to-paid conversion tactics, and usage-based triggers to drive self-serve upgrades and expansion.
  • Create processes that adhere to best practices for developing and growing the Product Marketing function
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the sales team, providing product training, sales enablement resources, and support for customer-facing activities.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify ideal customer profiles and personas, leveraging insights to refine product positioning and messaging, and mentor junior team members in best practices and approaches.
  • Serve as a passionate product evangelist both internally and externally, positioning yourself as an internal product expert and driving enablement and product education efforts.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 6+ years of proven experience in SaaS B2B marketing, with a focus on product marketing and product-led growth.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing product marketing strategies that drive customer engagement and revenue growth.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and content.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience working closely with cross-functional teams and providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
  • Ability to analyze data and gather insights to inform decision-making and strategy.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas for marketing campaigns and content.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adaptable to change.
  • Strong desire for continuous learning, growth, and taking on new challenges.

U.S. Pay Range
$130,000β€”$150,000 USD

SchoolStatus intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, such as experience.
