Role: Head of Marketing

Salary: $120K-$160K based on experience
Our client has grown from a Shopify store to a seven-figure ecommerce brand with 40K+ passionate customers who've transformed their sleep, energy, and health through light therapy. Now they're at an inflection point: evolving from product-focused to education-first, launching their first flagship course, and positioning ourselves as the definitive authority on living in sync with nature's light.
They're looking for a Head of Marketing to architect this transformation and scale us to eight figures.
Key Responsibilities
You'll be their first marketing leader, reporting directly to the Founder, with full autonomy to build the marketing engine from the ground up. This isn't about executing someone else's playbook - you'll write it.
Acquisition & Growth:
Build and scale acquisition funnels across paid media (Meta, Google) with a six-figure budget
Develop their content engine: SEO strategy that drives organic traffic from 5K to 50K+ monthly visitors
Relaunch affiliate and influencer programs, turning their community into growth drivers
Own CRO across the site - every percentage point of conversion improvement = $XX,XXX in revenue
The Course Launch (Your Biggest Win):
Lead go-to-market for their flagship circadian health course - a $500K+ Year 1 revenue opportunity
Design the pricing strategy, positioning, and funnel that converts product customers into students
Establish them as the education leader in an emerging wellness category
Retention & Lifecycle:
Build CRM, email, and SMS automation that guides customers through transformation (not just transactions)
Create a testimonial and case study engine - leverage their customers' success stories to build trust at scale
Design community-driven marketing that turns customers into evangelists
Systems & Team:
Establish marketing KPIs, reporting dashboards, and a scalable calendar
Hire and build your dream team as the company grows (you'll make your first hire within 6 months)
Qualifications
Required:
5+ years leading marketing at a DTC or consumer brand, ideally health/wellness
Proven track record scaling brands from low seven figures to eight figures
Deep expertise in paid acquisition, SEO, content marketing, and CRO
Hands-on experience with email/SMS platforms (Klaviyo, Attentive, etc.) and building automated lifecycles
Experience launching and scaling influencer, affiliate, or referral programs
You've launched a digital product, course, or membership before (huge plus)
Your Approach:
Strategic thinker who can zoom out to define positioning, then zoom in to write the email subject line
Data-driven but creative - you A/B test everything but know when to trust your gut
Comfortable in scrappy, fast-moving environments where you wear multiple hats
Obsessed with transformation marketing, not just performance marketing
Passion:
You genuinely care about health, wellness, and helping people live better
Bonus: You have opinions on red light therapy, sleep optimization, circadian rhythms, or biohacking
