Rate: Salary, based on Experience

Job Description:

To be successful as the Field Marketing Coordinator, you'll need to be an event-planning guru, a visionary, a road warrior and a doer. The majority of this role happens in the field. You'll work with our regional sales team, wholesaler partners and retail network to put on marketing events throughout our footprint. At the brewery, you'll focus on planning, prep and administrative duties relating to marketing events and our ambassador program 

Communication and coordination are key. You'll be pulling together the efforts and experiences of a variety of audiences: managers, ambassadors, field sales reps, vendors and guests. You’re happiest with a run-of-show clipboard, juggling the big picture with the most granular details to deliver experiences that won’t soon be forgotten. 

Job Responsibilities

· Partners with Marketing Campaign Manager and Director of Marketing to develop compelling, scalable events to support quarterly marketing programs and business sales goals. 

· Maintains, hires and trains members of our brewery ambassador program – a team of fully-trained part-time co-workers who support festivals, events and retail sampling events. 

· Coordinates weekly ambassador schedules, establishes event requirements/goals and tracks/reports ambassador hours for payroll processing as well as expenses.

· Collaborates with regional sales teams on requests to enhance events, event promotion and display tie-ins to leverage accounts

· Collaborate with the retail team on developing marketing events at the brewery increasing visits, sales and customer engagement. 

· Create and execute events in the field and at the brewery including a wide variety of Tröegs branded, sponsored, charitable and experiential events/festivals/samplings with attendees ranging from dozens to thousands. 

· Be accountable for managing event site, sourcing vendors, compliance, logistics and budget including pre-planning as well as day-of execution for events and activations including all post-event reporting.

· Support POS and event material sourcing, ordering and delivery in line with quarterly marketing programming.

· Help drive marketing awareness and affinity through visual brand experience, POS, co-marketing efforts through Tröegs and partners’ channels.

· Responsible for proper maintenance, cleaning and care of event equipment including draft trailer, jockey boxes and all related parts, tents and backdrops, tables and clothes, POS, and vehicles. 

· Review permit and insurance parameters and comply with legal and safety protocol.

· Be adept at location scouting and concept building through field research.

· Help build localized relationships with relevant communities, accounts and local media. 

· Create recaps inclusive of concept, audience, objectives, results, successes and opportunities. 

· Be a Tröegs champion and act as a media spokesperson as needed. 

· Have a firm grasp of the brewery’s vision, brand attributes, history, community involvement and beer portfolio.

Required Skills and Attributes

· Previous professional experience (1-3 years) in field marketing activations or event planning 

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Public Relations is preferred; significant professional experience in related field may be considered

· A love of craft beer and an understanding of brewing and beer styles is strongly preferred

· Previous experience implementing unique events and activations for craft beer, consumer packaged goods or other relevant business

· Project management experience in marketing/events industry 

· Builds relationships and collaborates well with internal and external teams, vendors and partners. 

· Understands how actions and decisions impact key brand objectives and overall success of projects

· Effectively communicates big picture goals along with tactics and accountabilities to individuals and groups

· Understanding of social media, marketing and promotion techniques

· Able to be flexible and adaptable while maintaining excellent project management skills, and attention to detail

· Must maintain a functioning vehicle and have a driver’s license with NO DUI’s

· Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 pounds

Work Environment:

Tröegs Brewing Company is a climate–controlled brewing and packaging facility. The following is a representative list of what a co-worker might encounter during a typical work day:

· Hot water

· Steam

· Pressurized vessels

· Loud working areas

Co-workers regularly handle hazardous materials and regularly come in contact with broken glass and wet floors while working in close proximity to moving mechanical parts. 

This position is not expected to regularly handle hazardous materials and regularly come in contact with broken glass.

Work Schedule:

  • 40-hour minimum work week, with      extended hours as required.
  • Travel and some weekends required.
