Function (Scope and Main Purpose of Job)

 

Work under the Food & Beverage Marketing Manager to coordinate goals into marketing strategies and objectives that facilitate overall business growth.

Specific Responsibilities and Duties

 

  • Maintain and update website (events, photos, hours of operation, contests, etc.).
  • Maintain, update and monitor social networking sites and content plans (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube).
  • Assist Food & Beverage Marketing Manager in brainstorming and creating new social media campaigns to help increase social engagement.
  • Help assist in the re-launch of Snapchat, assisting with creating a content plan.
  • Generate weekly recaps depicting success of social networking sites and website through data insights and Google analytics.
  • Track and report weekly social media statistics (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.).
  • Create and manage all enter to win forms and contests for upcoming promotions in effort to grow our database.
  • Learn and assist with Marketing Plans for larger events.
  • Update internal marketing & events calendar.
  • Create monthly event calendars to be released to the public via social networking sites and e-blasts.
  • Organize photo gallery for use on website and social media, as well as for department use.
  • Posting of major events on local/regional event and blog sites; contacting mom blogs for monthly family events.
  • Upload and organize database, assisting in e-mail campaigns to specific lists.
  • Learn and assist in writing press releases and media advisories.
  • Proof and edit press releases, media advisories, collateral, and e-mail campaigns.
  • Understand the PCF and Job Request process for collateral (flier, poster, menu, LED, etc.) and assist in the process from creation through approval.
  • Aid in the creation of content and graphics for weekly e-blast(s).
  • Generate recaps of all major events including event synopsis, event photos, promotion of event, etc.
  • Assist with the implementation and launch of reward program.
  • Assist at venue wide events, game watch parties and family events as requested.
  • Attend weekly staff, marketing and event meetings as requested.
  • Provide input on all aspects of marketing and assist in the creation and development of new events and promotional/marketing materials.
  • Recognize and understand the components of sponsorship, public relations, sales, and operations as well as its importance in our industry.
  • Respond to online reviews and escalate as necessary.
  • Reports to Food & Beverage Marketing Manager.
  • Other objectives and projects as required.

 

Qualifications

Job Requirements (skills, knowledge, and abilities)

  • 1-2 years of previous marketing experience (preferred).
  • Must speak fluent English, excellent command of written English with copy accuracy.
  • Frequently standing up or moving within and outside of the facility.
  • Exceptional communicator: you confidently engage at all levels and with clients.
  • You have excellent written and oral communication and are known for translating data into clear, easy-to-understand information.
  • Ability to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently, as well as strong attention to detail. 
  • Ability to travel to attend workshops, tradeshows, conventions, meetings, etc. 
  • May require a valid Driver’s License and drive to workshops, tradeshows, conventions, meetings, etc. 
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Must be available to work 40 hours per week.
  • Must be able to work in smoke filled environments. 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain licensure as required by the State Gaming Agency for the position.

 

Educational Requirements

  • High School Graduate with previous experience in a similar marketing role.

Physical Requirements

  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Working Conditions

  • 24/7 high energy casino with over 100,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 500 employees.
  • Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
  • You may occasionally work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
