Position Summary:  

The Digital Media Specialist supports the organization’s mission by developing, executing, and optimizing digital communications that increase awareness, engagement, and support from key audiencesThis role manages and creates content across digital platforms to amplify JFCS’s work of improving the lives and well-being of individuals and families in need. By applying data-driven insights, creative storytelling, and current digital marketing tools, the Digital Media Specialist strengthens the organization’s online presence and advances its outreach, fundraising, and engagement goals. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Support timely and consistent digital communication across platforms. 
  • Adapt and format marketing content for digital platforms, including social media, email campaigns, and web content. 
  • Contribute to copywriting, marketing, and communications for digital materials. 
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to strategically promote activities, services and organizational priorities on JFCS’s digital platforms.  
  • Manage social media platforms, including content scheduling, posting, monitoring, and engagement.  
  • Monitor online conversations, comments, and messages on all JFCS platforms. 
  • Execute and optimize digital advertising campaigns (e.g. Google Ads, social media ads) to increase, reach, engagement, and impact. 
  • Lead the production and distribution of monthly email newsletters. 
  • Update and maintain website content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with current initiatives. 
  • Trackanalyze, and interpret digital performance metrics (social media insights, website traffic, SEO, email engagement) and provide regular reports and data-informed recommendations to improve performance and support strategic decision-making. 
  • Capture, edit, caption, and distribute photo and video content to appropriate audiences. 
  • Organize, maintain, and manage digital assets, including photo and video libraries. 
  • All other duties as assigned 

 

Qualifications 

  • Preferred bachelor level degree in marketing, communications or related field 
  • Experience in marketing, communications or advertising 
  • Up to date on digital marketing tools and techniques 
  • Graphic design skills using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Experience with social media platforms such as LinkedInFacebookXTikTok and Instagram 
  • Experience with SEO campaigns, google analytics and google ads 
  • Experience with executing successful marketing campaigns 
  • Experience designing and writing collateral: brochures, mailings, ads and appeals 
  • Photo and video editing experience. Proficient with image editing software 
  • Excellent verbal, written and online communication skills

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
