The Hertrich Family of Automobile Dealerships, a dynamic and community-rooted organization, is seeking a Communications & Public Relations Specialist to lead strategic communications, community relations, and brand storytelling across our 24 dealership locations on the Delmarva Peninsula.

What You'll Do

As our Communications & PR Specialist, you'll play a central role in amplifying our brand presence and deepening our connection with the communities we serve. You will:

  • Develop and execute communications strategies that support brand initiatives and business goals.
  • Craft compelling content for press releases, media outreach, social platforms, and internal communications.
  • Coordinate local events, community partnerships, sponsorships, and promotions.
  • Lead and implement PR campaigns that tell the Hertrich story and celebrate our legacy.
  • Build relationships with local media, nonprofit partners, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all external and internal channels.

Who You Are

You're a creative, high-energy professional who loves building connections and shaping perception. You bring:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in public relations, journalism, or marketing communications.
  • Associate's degree or higher in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel) and basic graphic editing (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • A valid driver's license (with minimal points) and a strong work ethic.
  • Automotive industry experience? That's a plus-plus-plus!
