Responsible to develop & lead the Communications and Publication strategy Lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive global publications plan to support medical strategies, provide ideas for generating manuscripts of scientific and clinical interests, and lead the implementation and maintenance of this plan Establish and lead publications steering committee, to support ideas generation for publications plan (where PSC is required) Lead on the Global Medical Communications activities across Medical to support congress presence and content development (scientific narrative, scientific platform, symposium, etc) Foster relationships with key external thought leaders to aid development of key publications and medical communications deliverables Represent Alnylam at medical meetings, conferences, advisory boards, outreach meetings at key institutions, and in interactions with thought leaders as needed Participate in long-range planning as needed; develop and manage project plans, assess resource needs, and develop and implement processes and standards Manage Medical Communications/Publications agency, including project plans and budget PhD or PharmD/MD with 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, or medical education company Prior medical affairs, medical communications, publications, agency and/or KOL management experience preferred Team management experience a plus Knowledge of GPP 2022, ICMJE and other applicable publications-related guidelines and industry rules along with medical and clinical terminology knowledge Experience using publications management software (e.g. iEnvision) Experience with Medical Communications strategies, understanding of omnichannel Excellent verbal/written communication and listening skills Proven planning and organizational skills with experience managing multiple priorities; attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment Strong interpersonal skills in developing and maintaining professional relationships Proven ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries Efficient management of all aspects of Medical Communications/Publications agency Clear alignment with Alnylam Core Values
