MORE ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an Account Supervisor to join our U.S. Energy & Industrials (E+I) practice. This leader will serve as a trusted advisor to clients across energy, manufacturing, construction, industrial materials, mining, and agribusiness sectors. You will help clients protect and grow their license to operate through integrated communications strategies rooted in corporate reputation, sustainability, innovation, and stakeholder engagement.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the reputation strategies of organizations at the forefront of the global energy transition and industrial innovation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic communications programs, ensuring alignment with client business objectives, industry dynamics, and stakeholder expectations

  • Serve as a day-to-day client contact, providing strategic counsel, media guidance, and issue navigation support

  • Oversee and contribute to the development of key client deliverables, including messaging platforms, press materials, executive thought leadership content, and sustainability communications

  • Direct earned media strategy, including reporter engagement, media list development, and proactive/reactive pitching to national, regional, and trade press (e.g., Axios, Politico, Washington Post)

  • Manage integrated project teams, ensuring high-quality output, effective collaboration, and consistent client satisfaction

  • Lead media monitoring and reporting programs, ensuring insights are actionable and relevant to client priorities

  • Support new business efforts including proposal development, competitive research, and pitch presentations

  • Foster junior talent development through mentorship, feedback, and delegation of responsibilities

  • Stay current on industry trends in energy, ESG, public policy, and reputation management to provide clients with proactive counsel

EXPERIENCE THAT CONTRIBUTES TO SUCCESS:  

  • 5–8 years of public relations or corporate communications experience, preferably within an agency or energy/industrials environment

  • Proven experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder communications programs

  • Strong media relations background, with established relationships across national and trade outlets

  • Excellent writing, editing, and messaging development skills across traditional and digital platforms

  • Confident client presence with strong interpersonal, presentation, and consultative skills

  • Ability to think strategically while managing multiple projects and deadlines

  • Familiarity with ESG, sustainability reporting, and corporate reputation trends is highly desirable

  • Experience managing teams and mentoring junior colleagues

  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to contributing to a diverse and inclusive culture
